Casey and I began our journey of
life together on September 12,
2008. I brought my love of dogs
and horses and Casey brought his
love of bucking bulls into what we
have brought together as Rising
Stars Ranch. Our ranch is located
in Stilwell, OK
Casey’s love for bucking bulls
began at a very young age. When
he was young he competed in all
junior rodeo events from roping to
steer riding. When his parents
couldn’t find him at rodeos he was
always behind the bucking chutes
or around the bull pen. Casey
decided he wanted to continue his
bull riding career beyond junior
rodeos. He was a member of the
NYRA’s and NJBRA’s as a
youngster and soon moved up to
ACRA’s, PBR’s, and big bull riding
events. He won numerous
buckles, awards, and money in his career. While Casey was riding bulls
he decided he wanted to raise bucking stock that was top notch as well.
He began to study the bloodlines and talk to people that had been in the
bucking bull business to start putting his herd together. Now you can
check out our bucking stock and see what his expertise and knowledge
has brought to our ranch!
I, myself, have had
a love and passion
for my animals my
entire life. I started
competing in
rodeos at age 5 and
still do today. My
20 year rodeo
career has taught
me a lot. I have
learned discipline,
responsibility, and having a love for my animals. I also worked at a vet
clinic for 8 years and learned more than I could ever imagine about health
and the caring for animals. My parents worked rodeos as long as I can
remember for David Bailey. At every rodeo I would hang out with Mr.
Bailey and learn about the bucking horses and bulls. It was a big interest to
me and is now helping me today in the bucking stock business with my
fiancé.
Corgis and Toy Australian Shepherds have always been my favorite breed
of dogs. We have owned corgis for 9 years. My mother had seen one at a
junior rodeo we were competing at and fell in love with them. We
purchased one for her for Christmas in 2002 and he brought great joy to us.
Our corgis soon grew from 1 to 4 and I decided I would love to raise them.
I purchased my first toy Aussie in May 2008 and couldn’t ask for a better
companion. I fell in love instantly and decided I needed to have more. So
my Aussie soon grew from 1 to 6. I do not have a kennel but a love and
passion for the dogs. They are all pets and get lots of attention. All my dogs
have been raised in the house, potty trained, traveled to rodeos with me,
and go riding with me on a daily basis. I raise all my puppies in the house
and back yard and they are socialized when they meet their new families.
